They are Community based birth attendant who might not have formal education but have gotten skills of caring for pregnancy, taking delivery of child birth and caring for post natal cases. They might have gotten the skill from their father, mother or guardian and have not attended any formal classroom education.
They live in the community, they speak same language, they are affordable, accessible, available and acceptable by their community.
Therefore, they are very important in society for this important role they play. This curriculum is aimed at improving their skill, knowledge and promote their methods of service delivery in accordance with today’s standards.

5. Bbehavioural Change Communication
6. Community Mobilization.
Second Semester
1. Elementary medical investigations or simple diagnostic system.
2. Childhood illness.
3. Traditional medicine in childbirth.
4. Basic practical skills in Traditional birth system.
5. Essentials of nutrition.
6. Citizenship education.
7. Reproductive health issues
